If you are looking for a swim club with a welcoming and positive environment for your children and family to enjoy together, I would NOT recommend SCA. Our family joined the SWAC program when our daughter entered sixth grade and the club was under different leadership. Sadly, the change from SWAC to SCA brought about a very negative environment and experience, both in and out of the pool for our daughter and us. There was never a shortage of politics, misinformation and exclusion to say the least. Due to the limited alternatives, we stayed until our daughter graduated and actually moved on to a D1 collegiate swim program. On a positive note, she did have a couple of really amazing coaches that obviously helped her passion and talent develop. Sadly, each of those same coaches were also fired by those same individuals running the club with limited information and explanations for both.

My boys have been part of SCA for about 8 years and love it! It all started as an exercise keep moving thing, became competitive, fun and life long friendship.

Our daughter has been swimming with Poco and SCA for over six years, and my wife and I feel that the coaching she receives is very positive and helpful. She looks forward to competitions and has a ton of friends in SCA. We are grateful for the staff and volunteers who put together these practices and meets throughout the year. Parents, if you want to get your child into a sport that keeps them active and positive, I highly recommend swim and SCA.
